Question: Do you stock clam traps / larsons mate to use along side the larson trap

Answer: At the moment there is some debate as to the legality of this particular trap.Until this is fully sorted and given approval throughout the UK we will not be stocking this item.

Solway Fox Trap

Question: what would you do with the fox once trapped?

Answer: It depends on why you are trapping the fox in the first place. In certain circumstances it is illegal to trap and then relocate a fox to other ground, the regulations on this vary throughout the UK home countries. If you are trying to catch an injured or infected fox it is best to contact the RSPCA for their advice. If you are trapping under license for vermin/pest control purposes you must dispatch the animal humanely and dispose of the body correctly. Any animal caught in a trap must be treated cautiously, carefully and with due respect to very strict UK laws and any local bye-laws.

Question: How are you meant to use this, because on our 30L waters we put a £1 coin in to it but is there another way to use this product. thanks

Answer: The rubber bung is used when filling the container. Slide the bung up the spout so that the ball covers the hole, fill the container screw the lid and seal down hand tight to form the vacuum. Slide the bung down a couple of millimeters and the water will flow into the bowl.As the water reaches correct level it stops flowing.

Answer: It depends how much you pay for your electricity.Every 4 hours it will consume 1 kilowatt/hour.
So in 12 hours it will consume 3 kilowatt/hours of electric. If you look at your electricity bill it will explain what each kilowatt/hour is costing you.

Question: have nailed blocks under decking where there is mouse or rat activety for 3 weeks now sometimes nibbled at over a couple days other times completely gone overnight how long should it take to kill these things with roban extruded blocks

Answer: The blocks should be used in the correct bait boxes, so that the poison cannot be reached by non target species. It normally takes a few days, but it sounds as though you have a large number of rodents eating the bait.
This could take some time. Have you found evidence of the dead ones? It is best to get rid of them before they start to smell.

Question: at what ratio do you add oil to food stuf/grain for chickens

Answer: The best way to use this product is to wipe or spray a small amount of the concentrate on the inside of your feeders every week. The smell is then always around the feeder.
If you wish to mix it with the feed use 100 ml of concentrate to a maximum of 3 ltrs of vegetable oil.
this mix will treat up to 3 tonnes of wheat.

Answer: NO this cannot be used in drinking water for your birds.
It is a broad spectrum disinfectant for floors, housing and equipment.
If you use it on drinkers & feeders you MUST wash off with clean water.

Answer: All the connections are for 8mm o/d 6mm i/d.tubing. You could use 10mm from your low pressure header tank with a reducer in line before the filter.

Answer: This is of course possible. EVERY EFFORT MUST be made so that the chance of this happening is minimal.
Maximum precautions must be taken when using any type of poison. If in any doubt do not use poison, find an alternative.

Question: I am having trouble getting my chickens to peck at the spiral. I have tried dropping a little food under the spiral - but they just eat that and amble off!! I have also tried getting them to eat pellets out of my hand then slowly raising it towards the spiral and eventually move my hand behind the spiral in the hope the chicken will peck at it. iI am a complete novice at this so any tips would be greatfully received. I'm about to give up and reveert to a basic trough.

Answer: It sounds as though your hens are very well fed and probably not hungry enough for them to be bothered to feed from your new feeder. Sprinkle a small amount of feed below the spiral in the morning and leave them until next day. They should get the idea within 2/3 days.
